For

Representation and Due Process

Members facing disciplinary action, performance concerns, grievances, or workplace disputes deserve informed representation and fair treatment.

Safe and Healthy Workplaces

We advocate for safe facilities, appropriate workplace protections, and timely action when building, health, or safety concerns affect employees.

Dignity and Respect

Every IRS employee deserves to be heard, valued, and treated professionally—regardless of position, grade, location, or length of service.

Ulises Sánchez

PRESIDENT, NTEU CHAPTER 193

A veteran who now fights for The Union

Ulises Sánchez serves as president of NTEU Chapter 193, representing IRS bargaining-unit employees across Puerto Rico.

His leadership focuses on supporting federal employees, promoting fair working conditions, protecting negotiated rights, and giving members access to the information and resources they need throughout their careers.

President Sánchez encourages members to stay informed, participate in Chapter activities, attend educational programs, and communicate directly with Chapter leadership. His approach recognizes that strong representation requires more than responding to workplace problems—it also requires education, communication, preparation, and active member involvement.

Under his leadership, Chapter 193 has strengthened its emphasis on unity, member appreciation, cross-agency solidarity, and benefits education. The Chapter also works with other NTEU chapters in Puerto Rico to demonstrate that federal employees across different agencies share a common commitment to dignity and respect.

“Your voice matters, and we are here to listen.”
